Membership Notes

  1. Civil Society Organizations (CSOs): International and national non-governmental organizations, including Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs), Foundations, and Trusts, that are actively advancing gender equality and are aligned with GiEM Vision, Mission, Goal, Values and Principles alongside SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).
  2. Community-Based Organizations (CBOs): Grassroots, not-for-profit organizations registered under the Directorate of Social Protection and working at the county level in Kenya to promote gender equity, and are aligned with GiEM Vision, Mission, Goal, Values and Principles alongside SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).
  3. Individuals: Adults (18 years and above) who are gainfully employed or self-employed with a stable source of income. This includes consultants, academics, social media influencers, and media personalities who share and promote GiEM’s vision, mission, goals, principles, and values—particularly advancing gender equity and social justice.
  4. Students: Young adults (18–24 years) currently in school or college who, through leadership activities in their communities or learning institutions, are actively advancing gender equity and social justice in alignment with GiEM’s vision, mission, goals, principles, and values.
