Dr. Mary Chepkemoi

Dr. Mary Chepkemoi is the Manager – Executive Director’s office and Gender Focal person for Zizi Afrique Foundation. She supports the Executive Director on evidence processing and writing, fundraising, and contract management. As the Gender Focal person, she envisions ZAF as a model organization for Gender transformative practices in the region. Her research interests include Gender and education, values and education, and education for the marginalized.

Previously, she was a lecturer in the School of Education and Lifelong Learning at Kenyatta University, Nairobi where she taught Comparative and International Studies and History of Education courses. She was also a course coordinator, postgraduate students’ supervisor, staff mentor and patron as well as a facilitator for the Teacher Professional development and the Growing Leaders Programs. Mary holds a Doctorate and master’s degree in history of education and a bachelor’s degree in education (Arts) from Kenyatta University, Kenya.
